  1. Hydrogen 3 wheeler: H2E power systems to develop hydrogen three-wheelers in collaboration with Canada-based Hydrogen in Motion under an Indo-Canadian program funded by Gita. “India is a natural market for our low-pressure high-density swappable Hydrogen tanks H2M technology”- Grace Quan, CEO of Hydrogen In Motion
  2. Hydrogen Engine Generators: Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) have built a ‘Hydrogen-fuelled Spark-Ignition Engine Generator’  in collaboration with Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (KOEL), and the Indian Oil R&D Centre
  3. National Hydrogen Energy Mission Draft Plan: The draft recommends green hydrogen exports to Japan, South Korea, and Europe. It suggests setting up four integrated hydrogen hubs and running long-range public transport buses fuelled by hydrogen cells on heritage routes, remote locations, and ecologically sensitive zones.
  4. NTPC EOI for Hydrogen Pilot: NTPC has floated a global Expression of Interest (EOI) to set up two pilot projects, Standalone Fuel-Cell based backup power system and a standalone fuel-cell based microgrid system with hydrogen production using electrolyser at NTPC premises
  5. BRICS summit on Green Hydrogen: NTPC Ltd, hosted a two day workshop on Green Hydrogen, which saw leading experts from the Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa (BRICS) countries who shared their insights and professional views on the subject as well as the latest developments.
  6. India H2 alliance: The India H2 Alliance (IH2A) has expanded its membership with the inclusion JSW Steel in addition to two government agencies: CSIR National Chemicals Laboratory (CSIR-NCL) and Scottish Development International (SDI).
  7. Compulsory use of Hydrogen ? Government has circulated a draft Cabinet note for inter-ministerial consultation to put green hydrogen consumption obligations on fertiliser producers and petroleum refiners. According to sources, obligations will be imposed on these user industries between FY24 and FY30.
  8. Hydrogen Fuel cell buses: Tata Motors won an order of 15 hydrogen-based fuel cell buses from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd apart from Tata Motors collaborating with the IOCL to undertake R&D projects.
  9. Hydrogen Giga Factory: Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) is investing Rs 75,000 crore to build four giga factories focusing on solar, storage battery, green hydrogen and a fuel cell factory, which can convert hydrogen into mobile and stationary power.
